Kings Canyon in photos

A 5am start on Day 3 saw us at the start of the Kings Canyon Rim Walk at 6am – to beat the heat and the tourist groups. It is a steep climb to get to the top of the Rim but it is doable and worth it! The rest of the walk is not difficult at all we found, and can be completed in under the recommended time frame.

I don’t have words that can do this amazing place justice, so instead I will leave you with the below collection of photographs. I am in awe of how vast, how old and how beautiful Kings Canyon is. It is definitely somewhere you should make the effort to visit, especially if you are lucky enough to live in Australia.

Halfway you reach a bridge and stairs down into the tranquil Garden of Eden. We were lucky enough to spend a bit of time alone there before a tour group arrived.

We really do have some incredible things to see in our country and I am glad that I didn’t put this visit to Central Australia/Northern Territory off till later in my life, as I originally thought I would.
